Alex Perreira

Yo! It’s ya boi, Coach Alex.

I’m probably the nerdiest CrossFit coach you’ll ever meet. I have a degree in Cybersecurity and build and hack apps as my day job. I love to read books on culture, history, religion, and geopolitics. I also love to cook and spend what remaining time I have studying languages, coaching CrossFit, and working out.

I grew up in SoCal, and was really into BMX, skateboarding, surfing, and snowboarding. In June 2014, I walked into my first CrossFit gym and was immediately hooked. By November, I earned my CrossFit L1, and over the years added my L2 and CrossFit Gymnastics certifications.

More than a decade later, my views on life and fitness have evolved drastically. I have come to love the process of enduring. There is something powerful about testing your physical and mental limitations–achieving excellence through struggle. And I’ve found that the most important factor in committing to consistency is the community that you do it with. If you’re looking for advice, someone to push you, someone to encourage you, or good company, we got you at CrossFit Casual.
